8 December 2025 – The Myanmar military carried out an aerial resupply operation in Htilin town, Magway Region today, using a Y-8 transport aircraft to deliver multiple supply packages to junta forces stationed in the area.
The aircraft, reportedly deployed from Meiktila Air Base, began circling over Htilin town at around 1:27 pm and released several supply bundles attached to parachutes. The drops occurred directly above areas under SSPC (State Security and Peace Commission) military control.
Local sources from Yaw Alinn Tan said the aircraft flew at a low altitude and continued releasing packages throughout the operation. The supplies likely included rations and ammunition for troops operating in the Yaw region.
A similar operation took place on 12 November, also involving a Y-8 aircraft. Between 10 am and 11 am, the aircraft completed nine delivery rounds and dropped 25 supply parcels—one in the first round and four in each subsequent round.
Residents and local resistance networks report a noticeable increase in junta air operations across Htilin, Gangaw, and Saw townships. These activities include repeated airdrops, troop transport flights, and occasional airstrikes.
Communities have been advised to remain alert as the military continues expanding aerial support for its ground forces.
