06 July 2011: Burma’s pro-democracy leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and her son arrived in Nyawng Oo around 12noon today as part of their first trip outside Rangoon since her last release fron house arrest.
23 February 2011: Five youth leaders were detained and interrogated at the Police Station in Tedim Town during the Chin National Day celebration on 20 February 2011 after being accused of distributing the sticker that reads ‘to the Glory of 20th February’ and ‘Welcome the Second Panglong’.
11 March 2011: Chin refugees stranded in Nu Po Refugee Camp celebrated the 63rd anniversary of Chin National Day on the Thai-Burma border, with contributions from Chin Youth Organisation USA (CYO) and friends from Norway and UK.
