4 June 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military forces moved from Hakha town toward Thantlang town in Chin State, on the evening of 3 June, traveling in four military vehicles along the Hakha-Thantlang Road.

Local sources reported that the convoy carried a large number of SSPC troops, with some estimates placing the force at around 250 soldiers.

The convoy was later reported near the Timit Bridge area. Sources also claimed that SSPC military equipment, including combat drones, ammunition, and supplies, had been transported to positions in the area as part of preparations for operations toward Thantlang town.

On 4 June, an Mi-17 SSPC military transport helicopter delivered ammunition and supplies to Tedim town, continued to Hakha town, and then transported supplies onward to Thantlang town before departing for Kalay town in Sagaing Region.

The reported reinforcement comes amid ongoing military efforts in Chin State. Local sources say Thantlang town remains a contested area where both Chin resistance forces and SSPC military forces maintain positions, and additional military operations may be imminent. – Reporting by Daniel
