14 April 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military intensified its aerial campaign in Chin State today, launching airstrikes on the western outskirts of Falam town using jet fighters.

Ground sources reported that two jet fighters conducted the bombing around 7:30 am following fierce clashes near Khuangli village.

The engagement involved Chin resistance joint forces and SSPC troops stationed in the area. This latest assault follows a pattern of increased air and drone activity by the SSPC, which has faced significant setbacks in ground operations, including over 230 casualties reported in recent months during the struggle for control over Falam.

While casualties from this specific strike remain unconfirmed, the SSPC has recently expanded its aerial offensive across Chin State.

Similar strikes hit Mindat on 12 April, destroying civilian homes and vehicles. This escalation coincides with the SSPC’s recent extension of emergency rule and martial law for seven townships in Chin State, including Falam, as resistance forces continue to challenge military control over key strategic routes. – Reporting by Daniel
