18 March 2026 –The Chin National Front (CNF) sent a congratulatory message to the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) on the 9th Union Parliament meeting, which was held on 16 March.

In the message, CNF encouraged efforts to strengthen the legislative pillar during the ongoing revolutionary period.

CNF stated that although the revolution faces many difficulties and challenges, the holding of the parliament meeting shows a commitment to public representation and democratic practices.

The message also noted that strengthening the legislative body is an important foundation for democracy.

CNF further criticised the military for seizing power after violating the 2008 Constitution of Myanmar and continuing to oppress civilians and arrest democracy activists. It also said the military is trying to gain international recognition through a planned election.

According to CNF, the CRPH has received strong support from the public and recognition from international organisations, including the United Nations (UN) and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

CNF expressed hope that the meeting would help strengthen the transitional legislative process, produce laws that benefit the public, and further promote democratic practice. – Reporting by Ben
