1 March 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) conducted an aerial bombing on Lumbang village in Falam township, Chin State, today, causing extensive damage to civilian homes and property.

The air raid occurred around 12:00 pm. Fortunately, no civilian casualties were reported, according to a local resident who spoke to Lungmili Post.

“The bomb was dropped around 12:00 pm. This is now the second time they have conducted an air raid. While many houses were destroyed by the bombing, we have fortunately not sustained any injuries or loss of life,” the resident stated.

Lumbang village had previously been bombed on 19 February 2026, which resulted in one local resident sustaining serious injuries.

The SSPC launched a military offensive in Falam township in November 2025, leading to ongoing, daily clashes with combined Chin resistance groups.

Reports indicate that SSPC forces suffered significant losses, including approximately 200 fatalities, with nine of those being military officers, during December and January alone, in their military operations against the Chin defence groups. – Reporting by Daniel
