You open the envelope
Clinging onto hope
Waiting for upgrade
But no cause for parade
And you don’t get irate

You gave all your best
To produce the best
Yet they took all the rest
You don’t beat your chest

They only destroy
But you know how to build
Their story filled with ploys
Yet you fill your barn with yields

You’re the educator
And they the dictators
You teach wisdom
They ask ransoms
You have the doctorate
And they the inadequate

They may fire you
But they can’t hire you
They only have their guns
But you will have your turn.#
