SSPC reinforces troops towards southern parts of Chin State

13 July 2026 — The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) has continued deploying large troop columns, including allied Pyusawhtee (Pro-SSPC militia), toward Kyaukhtu and Laung She townships in Magway Region.

Local sources reported that an SSPC military column of approximately 400 troops, which departed from KaPaSa 24 (Directorate of Defence Industries Factory No. 24) and spent the night in Ta Pyin village, resumed its advance on 13 July. 

Advance elements of the column, accompanied by Pyusawhtee members, reportedly reached the vicinity of Anya village by midday.

The column is said to include around five military vehicles and is reportedly continuing its movement toward Kyaukhtu.

Meanwhile, another military convoy that departed from the 99th Light Infantry Division (LID 99) in Meiktila has arrived at KaPaSa 25 (Directorate of Defence Industries Factory No. 25) in Laung She township.

According to local sources, the convoy consisted of more than 30 military vehicles transporting over 300 SSPC troops and Pyusawhtee militia members.
