11 July 2026 — The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military has intensified troop deployments and logistical operations in Magway Region as multiple military columns advance toward southern parts of Chin State.

Local sources said a military column of approximately 400 troops that departed from KaPaSa 24 (Directorate of Defence Industries Factory No. 24) in Pauk township on 10 July continued advancing westward.

The lead element, consisting of around 200 troops, reportedly entered Kyauk Tan Khar village on the morning of 11 July before continuing toward Kyaukhtu and Mindat township.

Meanwhile, the SSPC reinforced its positions around Kyaukhtu. On the morning of 11 July, three tarpaulin-covered military trucks departed from Artillery Battalion 368 in Kyaukhtu heading west.

Local sources also reported that on 10 July, two military trucks made three round trips transporting bags of cement from the Kyaukhtu military base to western areas, suggesting continued logistical support for frontline operations.

According to local sources, advanced elements of the KaPaSa 24 column had reached the vicinity of Pon Taung Nat Htaik, while other units continued moving westward.

In a separate deployment, a military convoy carrying more than 300 SSPC troops from the 99th Light Infantry Division (LID 99), based in Meiktila, was travelling toward KaPaSa 25 (Directorate of Defence Industries Factory No. 25) in Laung She township, Magway Region.

The convoy, consisting of 33 military vehicles, was seen travelling along the Pwintbyu–Salin–Kyun Taw–Laung She route and was expected to arrive at KaPaSa 25 on the evening of 11 July.

Local sources said 10 tarpaulin-covered trucks were transporting food supplies and ammunition, while the remaining 23 vehicles carried SSPC troops. – Reporting by Ben
