7 July 2026 — The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military has reinforced KaPaSa 24 (Directorate of Defence Industries Factory No. 24) in northwestern Pauk township, Magway Region, with additional troops, ammunition, and military supplies.
Local sources reported that Mi-17 military transport helicopters landed at the facility six times on 3 and 4 July. Four flights arrived on 3 July and two more on 4 July, delivering more than 100 soldiers, artillery shells, warheads, and other military supplies.
The helicopters evacuated wounded SSPC soldiers from the Yaeh Pyu and Yae Ka Taw villages on their return flights for medical treatment in Pakokku and Nyaung-U.
Local sources also said the commander of KaPaSa 24 was recently replaced. On 4 July, military vehicles transported around 100 soldiers from the facility toward Pyit Ma village in two separate movements at approximately 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
According to the sources, the column is believed to be advancing toward Ye Phyu village, although its final destination and operational objectives remain unclear.
The reported reinforcement comes as SSPC forces continue military operations in the Magway–Chin border area. The reported troop movements, air resupply operations, and command changes could not be independently verified. – Reporting by Ben
