17 June 2026 – A jet fighter operated by the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) carried out an airstrike on the eastern side of Mindat town, Chin State, in the evening today.
The attack occurred at approximately 6:07 pm local time, when the aircraft, flying from Naypyidaw’s Aela Air Base, dropped two bombs on a location east of the town.
Initial reports indicate that two civilian houses caught fire, while several other homes sustained damage from the blasts. Information on casualties was not immediately available.
The evening strike followed a series of air raids earlier in the day. According to local sources, an aircraft operating from Tada-U Air Base conducted bombing runs between approximately 7:00 am and 8:12 am, dropping more than 70 bombs in around 17 separate bombing runs on areas east of Mindat town.
