14 May 2026 – Two fighter jets from the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) carried out airstrikes near Mindat town, Chin State in the afternoon today.

Initial local reports indicated that two fighter jets from Tada-U Air Base dropped four bombs during aerial attacks targeting an area near Mindat town at around 3:30 pm and 3:36 pm.

No casualties or damage details were immediately available at the time of reporting.

Local sources also reported that an SSPC military column of approximately 350 troops, which departed from Pauk KaPaSa, was advancing toward Ta Pyin village via Pon Taung mountain.

Residents in nearby villages have been warned to remain alert and take precautionary measures due to ongoing military movements and the risk of further attacks. – Reporting by Ben
