4 May 2026 – Military aircraft under the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) carried out airstrikes in areas between Kyaukhtu township in Magway Region and Mindat township in Chin State on the evening of 4 May, according to local sources.
Local sources reported that a Y-12 aircraft, believed to have taken off from Tada-U airbase, conducted repeated bombing runs in the area at around 5: 30 pm. At least four rounds of airstrikes were carried out, with multiple successive explosions heard on the ground.
Local reports also indicated that fighter jets were observed taking off during the same period, suggesting ongoing aerial operations in the region.
