30 April 2026 — ICFAI University Mizoram, India, and Chinbridge College Chinram, Chin State, Myanmar signed a Memorandum of Association (MoA) to strengthen academic collaboration and create new opportunities for students and faculty on 28 April.

The agreement sets out a structured framework for cooperation in academic and research activities, as well as faculty and student exchange programmes. It also promotes student mobility and aims to enhance access to internships, job placements, and career development support.

In addition, the MoA opens pathways for international exposure, including opportunities for higher studies and placements abroad. The partnership is expected to broaden learning experiences and strengthen institutional capacity for both institutions.

ICFAI University Mizoram, located in Aizawl, Mizoram, has been providing higher education opportunities for displaced students from Myanmar following the 2021 military coup.

The university has opened access to both undergraduate and graduate programmes for refugee students, including cases where students have been able to enrol without passports. It has also accepted applicants who completed Grade 12 under the NUG education system, as well as students who passed Grade 10 under the previous Myanmar curriculum. – Reporting by Ben
