10 February 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) conducted two airstrikes today on Tlangkhua village, Thantlang township, resulting in the deaths of at least six male civilians and the injury of seven others, including school children.
The first strike occurred around 12:15 pm, targeting a building under construction. Five construction workers were killed instantly, and a sixth succumbed to serious injuries. Six children were among the injured, with two reportedly taken into the nearby jungle.
Local sources confirmed the six fatalities, noting that most of the deceased were close relatives working at the construction site near the village entrance. The victims included family members and children, with ages ranging from school children to an elderly person over 65.
Crucially, no clashes were reported in the village or the surrounding area at the time of the attacks.
The destruction from the initial strike included a Rural Health Centre, civilian houses, and some tombstones.
Later the same day, the SSPC launched a second airstrike on the village, causing further destruction to residential homes.
