3 December 2025 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) conducted an aerial bombardment on Kanpetlet town yesterday, with a jet fighter launching the attack around 11:00 am.

The aircraft reportedly dropped a minimum of ten bombs, with targets concentrated around the vicinity of Win Hotel and the bordering forested areas.

The extent of casualties or structural damage remains unconfirmed at this time.

Local sources indicate that multiple bombs landed close to residential zones and forested locations near the town. However, on-the-ground assessments are incomplete due to ongoing security concerns.

This follows consecutive SSPC airstrikes in Kanpetlet town in October, which resulted in the deaths of three civilians—one man and two women—and injured at least 14 others.

Kanpetlet town was previously recaptured by Chin Defence Forces and allied groups on 22 December last year. – Reporting by Benjamin
