Two died, two injured in Tedim jeep accident

24 March 2015 — Two Chin men were killed and two Chin passengers injured after their jeep plunged about 700 feet off the hill road near Taingen, Tedim Township yesterday.

Zo Uk, driver and owner of the vehicle, and Ngun Hri, his assistant driver, died instantly when the accident happened on the Hakha-Kalay road around 4pm.

The two injured and bodies of the deceased were taken to a hospital in Kalay, Sagaing Region for treatment and a post-mortem examination.

According to families as quoted by the Chinland Post, the body of Zo Uk, father of six, will be taken to Hakha, and that of Ngun Hri to Leipi, his village, in Hakha Township tomorrow.

As of today, it is not yet known as to how the accident took place.#
