Chin woman won first prize of SE Asian Archery Championship

13 January 2013: Chin talented archer Ms Aung Ngeain received the first prize of women’s compound archery after beating her Indonesian rival, Ms Sri Ranti, in the final yesterday.

The Chin athlete represented Burma in archery at the fifth South-East Asian Archery Championship held at Wunna Theikdi Archery Range in Zabuthiri Township of Naypyidaw Union Territory.

At the women’s compound archery contest, Ms Aung Ngeain stood first, Ms Sri Ranti second and Yaw Sein Ya third, according to the New Light of Myanmar.

Ms Aung Ngeain, 28, originally from Khimpuang Village, Mindat Township of Chin State, won a gold medal in archery at the 26th South-East Asian Games held in Indonesia in 2011.
