Sung Tin Par To Get Married In May

21 April 2010: Burma’s famous Chin female singer Sung Tin Par and her fiance Sang Za Lian are to walk down the aisle at Sedona Hotel in Rangoon on 5 May, 2010.

The talented singer’s marriage to her boyfriend, who is an engineer graduate student in Japan, is confirmed after the wedding invitation has been distributed.

Chin talented singer Sung Tin Par reportedly met Sang Za Lian aka Htin Aung, an engineer student, during her tour in Japan in 2008. A source close to the couple said: “Just after the tour, Sung Tin Par openly announced she has found her dream man in Japan and since then they have kept in touch with each other very often.”

The 31-year-old singer and her Chin boyfriend tied the knot in April, 2009 after parents on both sides reached a pre-nuptial agreement in Rangoon.

A devout Christian, Sung Tin Par, who started her skills by singing Sunday School songs and hymns at church, first drew attention in 1998 after winning the first prize of singing contest in Rangoon. Then, she gained public acceptance from Burmese audiences in 2006.

Sung Tin Par who was conferred the ‘Humanitarian Goodwill Ambassador for the Chins’ earlier this year travelled, alongside other Chin talented singers, across the globe to raise awareness and fund for victims of mautam-related food crisis in Burma’s Chin State.
