20 July 2026 — The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) carried out fighter jet and FPV (first-person view) drone strikes in the Htilin–Kyaukhtu border area of Magway Region on 20 July, while a military column advancing from Kyaukhtu earlier this week reportedly remained deployed between Gyi and Shwe Aung Thar villages.
Local sources reported two fighter jets, believed to have taken off from Magway Air Base, conducted airstrikes at approximately 3:50 pm, dropping four 300-pound bombs on locations between Htilin and Kyaukhtu.
Earlier in the afternoon at around 3:20 pm, junta forces launched four FPV (kamikaze) drones from Artillery Battalion No. 368 in Kyaukhtu to strike targets in the same area.

According to local sources, the military column of more than 200 troops, which departed from Artillery Battalion No. 368 and advanced north via Pan Hsan village on 17 July, remains positioned at an undisclosed location between Gyi and Shwe Aung Thar villages.
