15 March 2026 – Three civilians were killed and about four others injured after the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) carried out an airstrike on Lunghawh village in Falam township, Chin State, on the afternoon of 14 March, according to local sources.
The initial news report from Zalen stated that the SSPC bombed the village twice at around 1:00 pm. Lunghawh village, located near the Taingen–Falam road and close to Lumbang village, was hit during the attack.
The victims were identified as Mr. Van Lian Thawng, aged 14, Mr. Henry Kap Nei Sang, aged 17, and Mr. Hrang Lun Sang, aged 20. The airstrike also reportedly damaged around four houses in the village.
The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) troops advancing from Kalay had been hiding in the forest near the village. The military has reportedly conducted repeated airstrikes in the area in recent days.
Earlier, on 8 March, the Myanmar military reportedly carried out a drone bombing in Lunghawh village, killing a 19-year-old Chin woman and seriously injuring her mother.
