13 March 2026 – The Spring Revolution Alliance (SRA) held the graduation ceremony for its Batch (1/2026) Basic Military Training on 1 March 2026, in a liberated area, according to a statement released on 12 March.
The training was conducted by instructors from the Arakan Army (AA). During the program, trainees received instruction in basic military skills, military tactics, soldiers’ ethics, and military discipline.
Participants in the training included members of the Bamar People’s Liberation Army (BPLA), Yaw Army (YA), Magway People’s Defence Force (Magway-PDF), and the Bamar Liberation Democratic Front (BLDF).
The graduation ceremony was attended by SRA commanders, leaders of allied revolutionary forces, local community elders, and relevant township officials. They delivered congratulatory remarks to the graduating trainees.
Starting with coordination among seven revolutionary forces in May 2025, the SRA, a coalition of 19 anti-regime organizations committed to abolishing the military dictatorship and establishing a federal democracy in Myanmar, was formally established after a three-day conference that began on 21 November, following an initial meeting of 14 groups in early November.
SRA stated that it will continue to work together with allied forces to end military rule, establish a federal democratic system, and achieve the liberation of the people. – Reporting by Ben
