10 March 2026 — Two civilians were killed after Myanmar’s military junta carried out an airstrike on Myaung Gyi village in Htilin township, Yaw region, according to local sources
According to an initial report from Yaw Alinn Tan, an A-5 bomber jet that reportedly took off from Tada-U Air Base dropped a bomb on the village at around 1:32 pm on 10 March.
Local sources said there were no clashes in the area at the time of the attack.

The bomb exploded in the southern part of the village and injured two civilians. A 25-year-old man died instantly from severe head injuries, while a 22-year-old woman later died from her injuries, bringing the total death toll to two.

The airstrike also destroyed several homes belonging to displaced families sheltering in the village. At least three displacement shelters were destroyed, while a total of around seven houses were damaged. – Reporting by Ben
