Allied Chin forces seize large arms cache in Falam township
14 February 2026 – Allied Chin resistance forces achieved a significant operational victory in Falam township, Chin State, capturing a State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) base and seizing a substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition on 13 February.
The operation involved two key actions. First, troops conducted a clearance along the Var River, where they discovered and confiscated a large arms cache abandoned by the SSPC. The seized weaponry included over 100 rounds of heavy artillery (such as 122mm, 120mm, and 81mm bombs), rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), and drone bombs.
Concurrently, a major engagement took place between the SSPC and the allied Chin forces, specifically between Tuphei and Lumbang villages. This clash resulted in the capture of an SSPC base and the seizure of 11 rifles by the allied groups, which included the Chinland Council and the Chin National Organization/Chin National Defence Force (CNO/CNDF).
Other groups, such as the Chin Brotherhood (CB), also participated in the fighting alongside the Chinland Council and CNO/CNDF forces.
Following the victory, Chinland Council Vice Chairman Pu Bawi Kung spoke to The Chin Post, emphasizing the importance of allied forces maintaining unity and cautioning against unnecessary online communication or internal division.– Reported by Daniel
