13 February 2026 — A women-led drone unit has joined Chin defence forces in carrying out coordinated FPV drone strikes against advancing the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military columns in Falam township, Chin State.
According to the Anti-Fascist International Front (AIF–Myanmar), the group has expanded and upgraded its FPV (First-Person View) drone program in response to the recent offensive by the SSPC in Chin State.
The group said dozens of combat FPV missions have been conducted, effectively targeting advancing troops.
The operations were carried out by WITCH (Women’s International Tactical Combat Hive), the autonomous women’s formation under AIF–Myanmar. The group stated that the missions inflicted serious damage on military forces in coordination with local Chin defense allies.
AIF–Myanmar also reported that its drone operators were able to bypass military signal jamming systems and deploy both suicide-type FPV drones and drop-bomb drones during the missions.
Meanwhile, the Chinland Council’s Ministry of Defence previously stated that thousands of SSPC troops, organised into nine battalions under Division 77, have been advancing from Kalay town in Sagaing Region toward Falam township for more than four months, with reinforcements continuing to arrive. – Reporting by Ben
