Chin artist to showcase first solo exhibition in Hakha
4 November 2020 – Salai Hung Bu Ning, pennamed Salai Nan Yan, is to unveil a collection of his artworks in a solo exhibition in Hakha tomorrow.
The two-day event, believed to be the first of its kind in Chin State, will present over 40 different pieces of his paintings mainly featuring the beauty of diverse landscapes and scenery of Chinland.
Born in Mindat and raised in Hakha, the Chin artist has started his ‘fine art’ painting since 2017 during his study at the University of Veterinary Science, and also composes poems.
He said that he had taken part in other art exhibitions but the Hakha event would be his first solo exhibition.
The exhibition is free of charge and open from 9am to 5pm near the junction of Hakha-Thantlang road in Khuathar, Hakha tomorrow. – Reporting by Cer Len Ci and Naomy VT Chin with Thawng Zel Thang
