21 May 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) carried out airstrikes on a location in Kanpetlet town today..
According to a local source, a junta fighter jet from Taungoo Air Base conducted two aerial attacks on the area at around 6:00 am, dropping a total of four bombs.
Another evening at around 5:52 pm and 6:00 pm, a jet fighter from Taungoo Air Base carried out two airstrikes on town.
Details regarding casualties and damage remain unconfirmed at the time of reporting.
Local sources also reported that a Y-12 military aircraft had been flying over the eastern part of Kyaukhtu town since early morning, allegedly dropping supply packages.
Meanwhile, a large SSPC junta military column consisting of more than 800 troops, including Phusawhtee ( Pro-SSPC-Militia), advanced westward from KaPaSa-24 in Pauk earlier the same day.
The convoy was reportedly moving toward the Kyauktankha area through Palaung village amid heightened military operations along the Chin–Magway border region. – Reporting by Ben
