16 February 2026 — Two civilians, one male and one female, were injured after the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) conducted an airstrike on Zangzawl village in Tedim township around 8 pm last night.

The night-time aerial bombardment involved the military junta’s jet dropping at least two bombs, despite no ongoing clashes in the area.

The attack damaged at least three civilian homes and destroyed a vehicle parked outside one of the residences.

No deaths were reported. However, local residents stated that villagers, frightened by the attack, spent the night sheltering in the nearby jungle rather than returning to their homes.

The two injured villagers have received medical treatment.

This marks the second time the Myanmar military has launched airstrikes on Zangzawl, following a previous attack on 25 August 2025.#
