6 October 2025 – A gyrocopter bombing carried out by Myanmar’s military junta around 11:30 am yesterday in the northeastern part of Pauk township of Magway Region, has resulted in the death of one civilian and injuries to three others, according to local sources.
The attack reportedly involved three gyrocopters from the North-Western Regional Military Command based in Monywa town, which conducted three bombing runs.
“A gyrocopter came from Monywa (NaMaKha). Three of them flew in and dropped bombs three times. I heard one civilian was killed. Another person was seriously injured in the leg,” a local resident told Zalen, describing the airstrike. The same source also indicated that two other individuals sustained injuries, though their lives are not believed to be in danger.
The military council’s air force has been conducting frequent airstrikes within Pauk township, complemented by regular ground troop raids. As a result, local resistance groups have issued warnings to civilians in the area, urging them to remain vigilant against various forms of airstrikes and ground offensives. – Reporting by Benjamin#
