GZA Met in Rangoon for Future Development

10 December 2012: Leaders of the Global Zomi Alliance (GZA) said they have a better opportunity in store for GZA to move forward, with more people getting to know about the organization.

The GZA conference recently organized in Rangoon had brought members of GZA from both inside and outside of Burma together to discuss various issues including the implementation of its objectives in the future.

During his speech at the opening ceremony, Rev. Dr. Simon Pau Khan En, current President of GZA, talked about the importance of collaboration among the people based on mutual understanding and of development in every possible aspect.

Dr. Chin Do Kham, from USA, made a presentation on the history, structure and aims of the organization, with a detailed explanation about the nature and roles of each department under GZA.

Other topics of discussions at the conference touched issues related to improvement of communication and relationship between secular and political groups in regards to development for the people.

Held in Judson Hall of Myanmar Baptist Convention in the last week of November 2012, the conference was attended by about 200 participants including members from different Zomi churches based in the former capital of Burma.
