New Album Released by Chin Female Singer in Burma
04 August 2012: A new album called ‘Tshirt’ with a total of 12 songs in Burmese composed and sung by Chin female singer L R Chan in her mid twenties has been released in Burma.
The album is now out in the market for purchase from major music stores across the country and her new songs are also available as MP3 on iTunes and Amazon.
A close friend to L R Chan told Chinland Guardian that the Chin singer has just released her first debut album and is currently promoting, adding: “Its [album] cover is being advertised on billboards in Rangoon.”
The album was officially launched last Monday.
“I am really proud of and impressed by her creativity. She composed and sang all the songs. All the songs can be previewed online on iTunes and Amazon, which is great,” said Pa Thawng, a Chin fan based in Thailand.
Born to a Hualngo mother and a Christian Burmese father, Ms Lal Rin Chan, also known as her nickname Chante and now professionally known by her stage name L R Chan, was raised in a Christian family in Burma’s former capital.
