Registered Voters and Polling Stations in Capital Hakha
21 October 2010: With only 17 days left before the scheduled November 7 election in Burma, details are slowly emerging about the electoral process. The local Election Commission in Hakha, the capital of Chin State, has published the voters registration list, and designated polling stations for the Township.
Hakha Township has a total population of about 47,000 people. Of this, 22969 voters have been identified by the Election Commission as being eligible to vote in the November 7 elections. According to the constituency delimitation by the Election Commission, Hakha Township has two electoral constituencies. The following shows the number of eligible voters in each constituency, as well as, polling stations in the township.
