12 May 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) carried out airstrikes in Mindat town, Chin State today, following overnight bombing attacks in the area.
The initial local source indicated that a jet fighter reportedly from Tada-U Air Base carried out another airstrike on a location in Mindat town around 11:07 am.
This morning at around 8:06 am, an SSPC jet fighter that took off from the Tada-U Air Base in Mandalay carried out an airstrike in Mindat town, dropping two bombs.
Another local source stated that two jet fighters from the same air base conducted multiple bombing attacks with 500-pound bombs in Mindat town on the night of 11 May at around 11:44 pm and again at approximately 11:46 pm.
Investigations are currently underway to determine the extent of property damage and the number of casualties resulting from the aerial attacks.
Local sources said the SSPC junta has continued conducting day-and-night airstrikes targeting townships across Chin State, where resistance forces have intensified operations in recent months. – Reporting by Ben
