COVID-19: 17 confirmed cases in Chin State

17 November 2020 – Chin State has been dealing with COVID-19 pandemic since late March, currently treating a total of 17 positive patients in isolated facilities.

There are two male patients in Tedim, Chin State, according to Dr. Zaw Myint Naing, head of Tedim General Hospital. One is originally from Tedim who lives in Kalay, Sagaing Region and another one is a Matupi native who lives in Khaikam town, Chin State.

In addition, three individuals are being isolated in Falam General Hospital, with the one from Sunthla village of Falam, Chin State and the other two from Tedim and Kalay.

Dr. Zaw Win Naing, head of Mindat General Hospital said, “There are 10 confirmed cases in Mindat, Chin State. Most of them are drivers. Some are Mindat residents while others are from different places. One was discharged from his isolation unit yesterday.”

Furthermore, there are two patients in Hakha and Kanpetlet respectively. – Reporting by Cer Len Ci and Naomy VT Chin.
