In pictures: damages caused in Hakha by 6.1 earthquake

18 April 2020 – A 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit Hakha and its surrounding areas on Thursday at 6:15pm, with the epicenter at 36.8 km southeast of Falam town and 43.4 km east-northeast of Hakha.

The quake was felt in Hakha and Falam town of Chin state, Pakokku city of Magway region, Monywa city of Sagaing region and Sittwe city of Rakhine, according to the Myanmar’s Meteorology and Hydrology Department.
